Support Worker
Help people build practical skills for greater independence.
Work alongside people as they practise everyday skills, build confidence and work towards goals that matter to them.
Support people to do more for themselves.
Independent Living Support is about working alongside people as they build confidence and practical skills in everyday life.
Rather than simply doing tasks for someone, workers encourage participation, practise skills together and provide the level of support the person needs.
Support is individualised around each person's goals, preferences and support needs.
What you might do
- Cook and prepare meals together
- Plan and complete grocery shopping
- Build routines and organisation skills
- Support planning and everyday decision-making
- Develop confidence with everyday tasks
- Support appointments and practical activities
- Help people work towards individual independence goals
- Break larger goals into achievable steps

What we're looking for
All applicants need
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain them
- A current Blue Card, or willingness to obtain one
- A valid driver's licence, access to a well-maintained, comprehensively insured car, and willingness to provide transport support
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
